When It Comes To Colour, Clinque Have Got You Sorted!

With the arrival of summer, it was about time my makeup collection got a pop of colour.

All those floral dresses and playsuits needed a new lippy to match, right?

Luckily for me, I was sent two of the new Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primers in Beige Pop and Melon Pop, and also the Clinique Cheek Pop in Ginger Pop.

These new shades had JUST the right amount of colour I was looking for – not too bright and not too bland. What more could a girl ask for?

Clinique’s Pop Lip Colour + Primer range combines a rich colour lipstick and smoothing primer in one and let me tell you now… it is LEGIT!

They are super moisturizing and soft, which makes for an effortless application to the lips. They’re also highly pigmented – so if you like a bit colour in your life they fit perfectly!

Out of the two shades I was sent, Melon Pop was definitely my fave. It’s a light-medium, pretty pink-peach with fine pearl and a natural finish.

It had just the right amount of colour for my liking – it wasn’t “too” out there.

Next up, we have Beige Pop!

I can expect this to become an everyday shade for me. It’s the perfect soft nude – there’s a good balance of warm tones to flatter, but not too pink.

Overall the colour stays true, keeps lips comfortably moisturised for 8 hours.

How GORGEOUS is this packaging? I was scared of ruining the pretty flower when I first used it, but was relived to find the detailed design stayed perfectly intact after running my brush over it – phew!

Clinique’s Cheek Pop in Ginger is a beautiful reddened coral with a subtle satin finish. It can be worn sheer for a natural flush, or built up for a more dramatic look (I usually apply about 5-6 strokes).

What I love most about this blush is that it feels like a powder but applies, blends, and looks more like a cream-to-powder formula on the skin.

It’s super easy to blend out AND has a pretty kick-ass wear time as well (like 9-10 hours for me).

Have you tried anything from Clinique’s Pop Lip Colour + Primer and Cheek Pop range?
