The Prettiest Pastel Beauty Products For Summer 2015

When it comes to beauty products, pastels would have to be the CUTEST of the lot!

From delicate nail lacquers to candy pink lipsticks – there’s just something about pastels that reminds me of cotton candy and easter eggs.

I’ve been collecting products for a pastel hues post (think lilac, pink, peach, teal, and pale green) for a while now, and I’ve finally got them on photographed and on the blog!

You may remember I did a white and gold themed beauty post a couple of months ago that went really well, so I thought what they hey, let’s make these themed beauty posts a regular thing!

Just like the white and gold post, I’ve ranked these gorgeous pastels in order of which ones I like best. They’ve also been split into three categories: cosmetics, haircare and skincare.

1. Essence Sheer & Shine Lipsticks – $4.50

What do you get when you combine a super soft formula and gorgeous pigmentation? The perfect pastel lipstick of course! These puppies from essence feel pleasantly light on your lips and provide a gorgeous, yet subtle colour with fantastic shine. The two shades featured in the above photograph are called: My First Love and Cute Nude.

2. L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Vernis Nail Lacquer – $9.99

This gorgeous new nail lacquer range for L’Oreal Paris combines rich pigments and optical effects to bring you an array of pastel hues and modern shades. The two shades featured in the above photograph called: Rose Paradise and Pearle de Jade.

3. YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick Pink Celebration – $59.00

When it comes to packaging, you just can’t beat YSL! This luxuriously encapsulated lippy provides high coverage and pigmentation with a gorgeous satiny finish that is to DIE for. It’s creamy texture glides on perfectly and keeps your lips thoroughly hydrated. I LOVE this 60s styled pink!

4. YSL La Laque Couture Nail Lacquer Rose Romantique – $48.00

I’d never tried the nail lacquers from YSL until now, and after wearing this stuff for a week I can happily say I am in LOVE. Presented in a sleek elongated glass bottle, this long-wear formula with Chil Rose Oil strengthens, moisturizes and protects nails from chipping and cracking. It also dries super fast and applies evenly without streaking.

5. Essence Liquid Lipstick Colour Party – $5.65

This candy floss pink, innovative 2 in 1 formula combines the coverage from a lipstick with the shine of a gloss. Even the packaging reflects its duo-characteristics!

6. Essence Gel Nail Polish Serendipity – $3.60

Who doesn’t love a good gel nail polish? The only problem with gels is that they’re generally waaaaaayyy more expensive than normal nail lacquers – but not when it comes to essence! This special formula provides nails with an incredibly long-lasting manicure a and amazing gel shine.

7. Essence Quattro Eyeshadow – $6.75

The best thing about this baby is that it combines different shades AND textures all in one handy palette. The perfectly aligned shades include a range of textures, from silky shimmery ones to intensive shine ones.

8. Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow – $54.00

You can never go wrong with these classic eye shadows from Bobbi Brown! These silky, powder eye shadows glide on smoothly and blend easily. They’re the perfect if you’re after a soft, matte shadow that can create subtle yet dramatic looks. The two shades featured above are called Sweet Pink and Pistachio.

9. Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Mascara $23.99

There’s a reason there’s so much hype around this new mascara – and it’s because it is HELLA good. This innovative formula and unique brush unfolds layer upon layer of lashes for a new ‘fan effect’ on all sides of your eyelid.

10. Benefit Cosmetics ‘High Brow’ Brow Lifting Pencil $41.00

I’ve been raving on and on about this pencil for YEARS! It is legit the best brow lifting pencil of all time – I’ve been using these for about 2 years now and have never looked back. Just pencil underneath the arch of your brow, and voila! You have amazingly shaped eye brows.

11. Benefit Cosmetics CoreColour Powder Eyeshadow – $37.00

These soft and silky eyeshadows from Benefit are made up of a fabulous long-wearing formula that you will fall in LOVE with. I’ve been trying these two shades out over the past couple of weeks and can confidently say they last for up to 8 hours without creasing & fading! The two shades pictured above are called Pinky Swear and Pause For Applause.

12. Essie Limited Edition Saltwater Happy – $22.99

Essie is hands down one of my favourite nail polish brands – it’s one of those cherished brands that combines quality, selection and affordability all at once. This particular sea blue shade is soft and inviting, I can tell I’m gonna get a lot of wear out of it over the summer!

13. Guerlain Paris Meteorites Compact – $98.00

I featured this on the blog a while back, this gorgeous compact contains five finely pressed, beautiful mosaic light-enhancing and corrective shades that adapt to every skin tone. The green dots hide redness, while the white dots illuminate the complexion. The purple dots joyfully revive radiance, and the champagne dots work to gently even out your skin tones.

14. Clinique Pop Lip Colour Melon Pop – $46.00

This baby combines a rich colour lipstick and smoothing primer in one and let me tell you now… it is LEGIT! Melon Pop a light-medium, pretty pink-peach with fine pearl and a natural finish. I featured this (and other Clinique products) on the blog just recently.

15. L’Oreal Paris True Match Blush in Sandalwood Pink – $27.99

If you’re looking for a new blush that compliments your skin tone and texture while blending smoothly and not looking ‘cakey’ or chalky then you NEED to try this one! This cute little compact is ideal for keeping in your handbag for all day touch ups.

16. Redken Diamond Oil Glow Dry – $45.00

This stuff has only just become available in-stores and I LOVE it! It works to boost your blow-dry with new heat-responsive silicone technology that delivers lightweight care and diamond-like shine. I featured the original Redken Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine a couple of months ago, so was excited when this one arrived on my door-step.

17. L’Oreal Professional serie expert Vitamino Colour A.Ox – from $28.50

I did a post on the collection earlier this year when it first launched, and have been using it ever since. This new colour care formula includes the latest and most advanced technology of star ingredients that work to enhance and preserve colour. UV filters help to protect the hair fibre against sunlight (not that there’s much of that around at the moment), while antioxidant and protective elements fight stress and protect the hair.

18. L’Oreal Paris Elvive Re-Nutrition Shampoo & Conditioner – $6.59 ea

I’ve been using Elvive on and off for YEARS, it’s one of those tried and true supermarket brands you can always rely on. Combining Royal Jelly and Omega 6, Elvive enables the diffusion of essential nutrients from root to tip which works to fix nutrients along the length of the hair for lasting smoothness and protection against dryness.

19. Kerastase Keratine Thermique – $47.00

If you’re a chronic hair straightener or dryer like me, then you NEED one of these in your life! This unique new “discipline technology” aims to tame rebellious hair by giving it shape and movement, and also works to protect from the aggressions caused by heat styling.

20. SolScents Sunscreen SPF30 Melon Cucumber – $18.00

We all know how rare it is to find a sunscreen that actually SMELLS good! I’d never heard of the brand SolScents before, but this stuff smells SERIOUSLY good (like so good I wanna eat it). I picked it up from the Regional Health website and can tell it’s gonna be my go-to sunscreen for the holidays. It actually feels more like a moisturiser than a sunscreen, it’s really lightweight and non-greasy which is another plus!

21. Antipodes Hand & Body Cream – $47.00

You can never go wrong with Antipodes when it comes to skincare! This captivating and velvety cream will leave your skin dewy and fragrant aaaaaalllll day long. There’s three delectable fragrances, packed with goodness to choose from: Joyful (pink), Jubilation (green) and Delight (blue).

22. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Wipes – $8.99

These magical wipes contain Micellar Water (which is an active cleansing ingredient) and silk fibers which act as a magnet to capture impurities, makeup and residue on the skin without vigorous rubbing. I actually reviewed these when they first launched in NZ a couple of months ago (along with the Micellar Cleansing Water itself), so have been a loyal fan for quite some time now!

23. Tailor Masque Minis – $15.00

I only recently tried Tailor Skincare for the first time, but have long since seen my fellow beauty bloggers rave on about it. These mini masques are the perfect for break out prone skin and contain deeply detoxifying NZ sourced bentonite clay with purifying and soothing organic kanuka essential oil.

I hope you enjoyed my pastels post – I really enjoyed shooting all the pretty products. I think I’m gonna start doing these ‘themed’ type posts on a more regular basis!

Did I miss any of your favourite pastel beauty products off my list?
