Get Insta-Ready With Revlon’s New ‘PhotoReady’ Collection

Calling all Instagram fanatics, selfie queens and makeup lovers! The new Revlon PhotoReady collection is just what you need in your life.

Our good friends over at Revlon have recently released a new line of PhotoReady ‘Insta-Filter’ products that are aimed at helping you look selfie-ready and picture perfect anytime, anywhere.

We were lucky enough to be sent a few of the Revlon PhotoReady products to review before the release.

In this range they have created a foundation that mimics the effect of app filters for a picture perfect base, colour correcting pens to neutralise imperfections that leave you looking airbrushed – and to top it all off, they have also created a triple duty Prep, Set, Refresh mist which helps to create a smooth canvas before makeup application, sets your makeup so it will stay all day and helps to keep your face looking picture perfect.

I personally have always loved colour correcting, it is a staple in my makeup routine. Colour correcting pens are the best as they are easy to use, and have a built in brush which makes them super convenient, and usually they twist or click to dispense which means you have a lot of control over the product distribution.

The formula for the Revlon PhotoReady Colour Correcting Pens to die for! It is lightweight but still highly pigmented, and finish is very smooth and flawless, which makes it easy to layer foundation and concealer over the top without separation or creasing.

As I have quite fair skin, some colour correcting shades can be very dark on me, especially peach or green tones. That is not a problem with these, as they are a perfect shade for lighter or darker skin tones! Yellow colour corrects are very important to me and I really wish there was one within this range because it would definitely become a new staple within my beauty collection.

The product I was most excited about in this range was the Revlon PhotoReady Prep, Set, Refresh Mist. This bad boy really lives up to its name!

As a primer, it really smooths everything out and leaves your face feeling the tiniest bit tacky… but in a sense that your makeup has something to adhere too and it’s not going to slip off, especially when it’s hot.

It smells amazing and the mist is really fine and evenly distributed, so you don’t get strange wet spots. As a setting spray it makes your foundation transfer and smudge proof. It also gives your face the healthy dewy look, without making your face oily or wet. I wouldn’t say the finish is matte, but it completely dries down.

I also really like the sleek black packaging and the size of this product. You get a good amount that’s a very convenient size to keep in your handbag.

If you are wanting to perfect your complexion and be PhotoReady all day long then I can say that the Insta-Ready range may be right up your ally.
