Can we all please take a moment to appreciate the absolute gorgeousness that is the new MAC Is Beauty Spring 2015 collection?
Inspired by the fifties and sixties, this retro collection embodies everything that I as a girly girl lust for in a makeup collection.
I was lucky enough to be invited along to the exclusive launch of this chic new collection at Smith & Caugheys a couple of weeks ago… and let me tell you, it was love at first sight.
Let’s take a look at the goodies I got to take home with me!
The above lipstick is called MAC Diva-ish, and it is a rich fuchsia pink.
This MAC lippy has an amplified finish that provides just the right amount of combined matte and gloss.
It’s the perfect level of brightness in my opinion – I’ve actually been wearing it on a daily basis because I like it that much.
I’m actually wearing it in the below photo – as you can see, it has quite a creamy texture.
Next up we have the MAC Silly Lipstick, which is a beautifully pigmented white-pink matte shade.
Being a matte lipstick meant that it lasted a bit longer than the Diva-ish one, I only needed to reapply twice throughout my workday.
Be warned: this pastel pink seriously girly, so don’t go there is you’re not that way inclined.
This lippy has topped my collection of pink lip colours.
My favourite piece from the collection would have to be the MAC Eye Shadow in Preening, which I am utterly OBSESSED with.
This is actually the first mint green eye shadow that I’ve ever had, which is probably why I am so surprised at how quickly I fell in love with it!
I’ve been wearing it on it’s own (it’s quite faint), and with darker purples and browns which really makes my eye colour pop.
Lastly is the MAC Pro Longwear Fluidline in Brassy.
This gel liner is a dark golden colour and is super easy to apply, and the matte finish meant it lasted aaaaaaaaaalll day long.
Being a matte finish, I thought it would end up catching on my eyelids, but nope!
Overall, the only thing I found to be a let down with this collection was the packaging – and that’s just because I’m obsessed with MAC’s limited edition packaging.
But besides that, I give it a 10/10 – I will hands down be using each and every single one of these products on a regular bas
