If you think you’ve already found the best mascara in the world, think again.
I know this may sound like a bit of an exaggeration to some of you, but the pink and black mascara pictured below will legitimately change your life forever…
Up until last week, I’d been using the same old Max Factor mascara every day for about four years (it’s a bloody good mascara).
I never thought in a million years that I’d find another mascara that would be even remotely comparable… but all that changed when I discovered the new Benefit Roller Lash Mascara.
And no, it’s not just because of the pink and black 50’s styled packaging (although it is VERY cute), but more so because of the length, definition and curl power it gives my lashes.
The only other mascara I’ve tried from Benefit is their award winning They’re Real! Mascara, which I personally didn’t find too appealing on my lashes.
I found the whole ‘horizontal angle whilst wiggling the brush’ application technique a bit too complex for me, which meant my lashes stuck together and looked all clumpy. It looks amazing on everyone else, so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong there!
On the flip side, I think Roller Lash is unlike any other mascara I’ve ever seen before.
I guess you could say it’s kinda like a hair curler, but for your lashes. Which makes it all the more AWESOME!
The Hook ‘N’ Roll brush is specifically tailored to grab hold of each individual lash, while curling them upward all at the same time – you can actually feel the brush tugging on your lashes as you pull the wand upward!
It’s made with special lash-conditioning ingredients that work to not only hold your lashes in place for 12+ hours, but also to make it super easy to remove at the end of the day (because we all know how fun it can be to take off mascara).
Here’s a before and after photo of the Roller Lash on my lashes – as you can see, it does a top job of extending, separating and curling them upward.
I am loving this mascara so much that I actually feel like I’m cheating on my trusty Max Factor one… it feels so good, but then it feels so wrong at the same time!
I guess I’m gonna have to start two-timing them… One this week and one next week? ;)
Benefit’s Roller Lash will be available online and from all Benefit Cosmetics counters at Smith & Caughey’s and Auckland International Airport from March 25th, 2015.
What do you think of Benefit’s new Roller Lash Mascara? Are you going to try it when it comes out?
