What is ‘ZENMED’ and why is everyone talking about it?

It’s the question on everyone’s lips… what is ZENMED and why are beauty bloggers from all around the world raving about it?

When you type ‘ZENMED’ into google aaaaaall sorts of reviews and links come up, and they all state that it’s “just like” a prescription skincare brand. And it is.

ZENMED is 100% doctor-formulated, but made-up entirely of holistic natural and non-prescription (yet still potent) medicines. It’s perfect for those who suffer from acne, rosacea or scars. And the best part is you can buy it straight over the counter!

I was sent a few of their products to try for myself (see what I received below). You can read up on my thoughts below!

1. ZENMED Organic Cream Exfoliator

This stuff feels (and smells) pretty darn good. It works hard to help oxygenate and revive the most sensitive skin types, which is perfect for me.

It’s made-up of Jojoba microspheres to help rid dead skin cell build up from the skin’s surface, and allows for maximum penetration of skin serum and moisturiser actives.

I’ve read that a lot of people who suffer from rosacea use this without it causing any additional redness or irritation.

What I like most about it is that it has a creamy formula, but also has enough “grit” to exfoliate and banish all those nasty blemishes and dead skin cells!

2. ZENMED Skin Protecting Lotion With SPF30

If you’re looking for a new natural-based sunscreen, then look no further!

This doctor-formulated sunscreen is light and oil-free, and provides broad spectrum protection from UVA/UVB rays that cause flare-ups, unwanted redness, and darkening of hyper-pigmented skin.

Using the chemical-free protection of micronized Zinc Oxide, this formula is created specifically for the face, and is ideal for dry, acne-prone, red/reactive, post-treatment and photosensitive skin.

It’s also boosted with the anti-aging benefits of hyaluronic acid and the soothing properties of Aloe Vera Juice and Cucumber, and is recommended as the ‘final step’ over any ZENMED serum, moisturizer, treatment, or alone over cleansed skin.

3. ZENMED AHA/BHA Complex

Firstly, what does AHA and BHA even mean? Well, according to ZENMED’s product description it stands for Alcohol-free, Alpha and Beta Hydroxy which are all combined together to create the perfect toner.

This penetrating formula helps unblock and minimize pores, clear-up post-acne discolouration, balance patchy/combination skin and gradually remove dead skin cells. What more could a girl ask for, right?

I found it a bit stingy to apply, but only for a second. I also liked how my skin remained hydrated after using it, which is unlike any other toner I’ve used before.

4. ZENMED Facial Cleansing Gel

This would have to be my favourite of the four products featured in this post.

This ph-balanced gel cleanser is suuuuuper gentle on the skin, and designed to be gentle for troubled and sensitive skin types.

My favourite part about it is that is removed makeup and oils without causing any dryness or irritation. It’s recommended that you apply it twice per day.

If you have acne-prone skin, or suffer from scars or irritations like rosacea than I’d highly recommend you give ZENMED a try.

Have you tried anything from ZENMED before? What did you think?

That cleanser sounds AMAZING! So hard to find cleansers that remove makeup without stripping your skin of all moisture!
The SPF moisturiser sounds really good too, I have to remind myself to use an SPF on the daily. Awesome review Steph! oxoxo

    • Ugh I know, I’m the same with SPF! Hahaha I always have to make the extra effort to remind myself. Nawww thanks girlie xx

  • A friend asked me recently what I thought of Zenmed but I hadn’t heard of it before! I love the sound of that AHA/BHA complex though.

    • Yeah I think I vaguely remember hearing the name Zenmed before, but I can’t really remember. It’s quite big over in the states!
