Life Lusts: I’m Going To Sail The Islands Of Croatia!

The most exciting thing that happened to me this week? Booking a trip to Croatia!

So I’m going to London in June to see my best friend Rochelle who I haven’t seen in over a year (wahhh come home), and to celebrate our BFF reunion, we decided to book a cute little trip island together.

LifeLusts_Croatia

We both agreed on doing Greece and Croatia, so started looking around all the different sailing trips that were available when one of my girlfriends at work suggested we do Med Sailors as she’d done it a couple of years back and said it was the’ best thing’ she’d ever done.

After checking out their website and talking to a couple of other friends who’d previously done it, we decided to book the Sailing Croatia seven day route (eeeee so exciting!!!).

And now that we’ve booked, I just can’t stop watching the promotional trailer – it looks freaking amazing. I’m SO EXCITED!!!

However, now that I’ve booked I’ve realised how quickly I need a bikini body… sigh.

Four months is doable to get an amazing bod… right?

Have you or has anyone you know done a Med Sailors trip before? Comment below and let me know what you though of it / give me some suggestions on what we should do when we stop off at the islands!

That’s it from me this week – time to get my ass to the gym!

Oh you will have an amazing time. I did Med Sailors a few years back. Both the Greek Island and Croatia sails. It was incredible. Would go back and do it again. But I think I may have to do their Turkey sails first. Great to support the Kiwi boys who started it.

That’s awesome!!! How long was yours for? I’m a lil bit nervous about being on a yacht for that long – hope I don’t get sea sick! x

I did the Croatia Discovery for the week and the Greek Islands for a week also. it is pretty chilled out and its not rough so you should be fine. We would just sunbath on top of the Yacht on the way to the next spot. Actually going to do a well over due blog post on the Croatia sail soon. Make sure you check it out. x

Thanks Lena :) I just don’t like the idea of getting into a bikini right now… :/

  • I haven’t sailed in Croatia (I was meant to but it just didn’t work out), but I have spent about 4 months there (over two different trips). It is hands down my favourite country to spend a summer in. You’re going to get the best tan of your life (don’t even worry about sunscreen except for your face, honestly!). The food is cheap, the beer is cheap and refreshing. I’m soooo jealous you get to go! It’s been nearly 3 years since I was last there. I’m guessing you’ll be stopping in a few cities – so if you eat meat (like 80% of their diet), look out for Ćevapčići or Ćevapi. They’re little mince meat sausages with garlic that are BBQ’d. So good! Also, Pizza in Croatia is the best too. I ate sooooo much of it because it was just so cheap. OH! And Palacinke with Nutella. They’re beasically huuuuuge Croatian crepes smothered in melting nutella. You’ll find vendors out at night selling them. HAVE FUN!! :D

OMG thank you so much for all the advice!!! You’re such a doll, I will definitely be sure to eat all those things (and more!) ;) no sunscreen?! Wow if I get a legit tan I will be the happiest girl alive – I only ever go slightly brown so will be interesting to see how dark I can go in the Croatian sun :D I will take lots of photos so be sure to keep an eye out :) xx
