Looking for an honest Grounded Body Scrub review? Look no further.
It’s not often that you come across a product or brand that you fall instantly in love with, especially not in this day and age.
Times are tough in the beauty world – the market is absolutely saturated with new products that are coming out on the daily. Unfortunately for us, this means good quality products are harder to come by. You’ve really got to do your research before you find what you’re looking for.
Let me introduce you to a new brand of body scrub that exceeded all my expectations, and became the exception to this rule of ‘love at first sight’ (or love at first ‘scrub’ in this case).
Grounded Body Scrub has been a real game changer for me.
The Grounded Body Scrub range was first introduced to me about three weeks ago, and I can hand-on-heart say that after using it for the first time, I have literally become obsessed.
Believe it or not, but this is actually the number #1 selling scrub range in the UK (I can now see why), but is only just starting to break its way into the NZ and Australian markets now.
Besides smelling and feeling absolutely divine, the Grounded Body Scrub range is natural, cruelty-free and free from nasties, fillers, parabens and microbeads. The range is made up of body scrubs, face scrubs, lip scrubs, lip balms and hair masks that will all send you off on a tropical journey, no passport needed!
I decided to review four products that I was kindly given to try, check out what I thought about each of them below.
1. Grounded Coffee Scrub: Chocolate Orange ($24.99)
I’m gonna be real here for a second. This coffee scrub is legit the best smelling scrub (or body wash for that matter) that I have EVER come across.
I remember feeling my skin after using this scrub for the first time and thinking, “man, my skin feels as soft as a baby’s bottom”, like I’m not even joking. This stuff made my skin feel seriously smooth.
It’s the best feeling knowing that your skin is totally 100% clean. There’s just no feeling quite like it!
Besides Robusta coffee, this heavenly body scrub is also made up of coconut oil, sweet almond oil, sugar, salt and vitamin E to scrub away dry skin, moisturise, cleanse, tone, tighten and brighten skin all in one quick shower.
Along with the delicious Chocolate Orange flavour is Coconut, Grapefruit and Peppermint.
Full disclaimer: I may or may not have tried to eat it in the shower…
2. Grounded Face Scrub: Lemon Tea Tree ($19.99)
If I had to choose a favourite out of the four products that were sent to me, it would definitely have to be this one.
We all know how good it feels after you wash away an entire day’s worth of make-up and give your skin a vigorous clean and treatment – and this Lemon Tea Tree Face Scrub from Grounded gives the best clean of all!
It must be the perfect combination of the extra fine coffee scrub formula, combined with the lemon and tea tree oils that give such a feel-good finish.
Just like the body scrub, it contains vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants needed for gorgeous, clear and healthy skin. The tea tree and lemon oil work to clean pores, remove excess oil, dry out pimples and treat acne with their antibacterial properties.
You can choose from Lemon and Tea Tree for problematic skin, Coconut & Lime for dehydrated skin and Sweet Orange for sensitive skin.
3. Grounded Lip Scrub: Coconut ($14.99)
I’ve only ever tried one other lip scrub, (I think it was the Christmas one from Lush) and this one was pretty similar in comparison. Although… I think the Grounded one has smaller sugar granules in comparison to the Lush one?
As expected, it smells good enough to eat (and yes, I did eat some of it – but it doesn’t even matter because it’s totally safe to eat). I tend to use it before I my lipstick, as it helps to scrub away dry, dead and flaky skin to leave a smoother surface which is ideal for lippy!
It comes in the Coconut flavour, or the Bubblegum, Mango, Apple or Pineapple and they are made-up of extra virgin coconut oil to leave lips soft and hydrated, sugar granules to gently scrub away dry, dead and flaky skin and jojoba oil to give lips a glossy shine.
I must say, there’s nothing quite the smell of freshly made Pina Coladas… in your hair!
I generally stay away from oil-based hair masks because they kinda creep me out, so I was naturally quite hesitant to give this a try this. But luckily my curiosity got the better of me, as I am now loving it and use it as a treatment at least once per week.
Along with Pina Colada, you can also choose from Mango Crush and Coconut Lime. They’re all made up of argan oil, extra virgin coconut oil, avocado oil and grapeseed oil to ensure your hair is left with a radiant shine.
I like to combine mine with my daily conditioner – but everyone’s different!
