While we all love the summer months, the arrival of the season also comes hand-in-hand with hair damage.
After spending time outside in the hot sun, our hair becomes dull, brassy, frizzy, dry and brittle… and nobody wants that. Right?
During the summer months it is extremely important to add some deep conditioners to your weekly hair regime (if not daily depending on how often you’re outside).
Take a look at some of my favourites this year…
1. Acure Ultra-Hydrating Conditioner RRP $16.95
These are the first Acure products I’ve ever tried, and man was I impressed. It’s definitely a brand worth looking into if you’re wanting something that’s both effective and good value for money. The Ultra-Hydrating Conditioner provides moisture to dry and damaged hair, leaving it soft, manageable and ready to rock.
Containing organic argan oil, argan extract, CoQ10, organic sea buckthorn oil and organic pumpkin seed oil to add shine, lock in moisture, and vacuum your house.
2. Acure Leave In Conditioner RRP $19.95
The leave in conditioner contains a similar formula to the Ultra-hydrating Conditioner with argan oil. Spray in for moisturised and manageable hair!
3. Ethique Wonderbar Solid Conditioner Bar – RRP $25.00
As the name would suggest, Ethique’s Wonderbar is truly wonderful.
If you’re still confused by the name, it is basically a solid conditioner bar that doubles as a shaving bar and an in-shower moisturiser for those with sensitive skin. Not only that but it lasts up to five months with regular use and smells fantastic!
Containing Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter and Vanilla, this bar is enjoyable to use and very effective. Each bar is the equivalent of approximately 5 liquid shampoo bottles.
4. Holistic Hair Hydrating Conditioner – RRP $29.99
I’ve written about Holistic Hair before on the blog because I’ve become quite a fan!
This botanical conditioner is especially formulated to revive dry, dehydrated hair. It contains avocado & palmarosa oils to restore hydration, strength and elasticity to the hair and antioxidant-rich radish oil combined with chamomile for protection and shine.
5. NEW Redken Clean Maniac Conditioner – RRP $35.00
I’ve been a massive fan of Redken for years, so will always recommend anything under their brand umbrella – and this new Clean Maniac Conditioner is no exception.
Interestingly, the silicone and sulfate-free formula is powered by the beloved micellar technology found in skincare. Boasting a light gel formula, this conditioner provides a bare, clean feel even in urban environments.
Definitely worth a try this summer!
6. Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo & Conditioner – RRP $22.50 each
I know this post is supposed to only feature conditioners, but when it comes to the Fudge range you just need to include both sets.
If you have blonde hair and have yet to try this range, then you haven’t lived.
This especially tailored formula works to neutralise the unwanted yellow and brassy tones that beset blonde coloured hair. To compliment the star shampoo, the violet toning conditioner contains neutralising pigments to remove unwanted brassy tones, natural proteins to protect against UV and environmental damage and thermal protectants to prevent yellowing.
Together, this new pair will help keep your hair clean and your colour cool.
7. TONI&GUY Leave In Conditioner & Reconstruction Mask – RRP$17.99 each
TONI&GUY would have to be one of my favourite salon brands.
Tame your frizz and manage those pesky fly-aways with their especially formulated leave in conditioner and reconstruction mask, which both work hard to penetrate deeply into hair and repair lost moisture for enhanced softness.
These are great if you’re looking for an affordable duo set!
8. Pureology Hydrate Superfood Treatment – RRP $52.00
These are brand new, and hot off the press!
After only launching in November, the new Pureology Hydrate Superfood Treatment masks are becoming increasingly popular.
This new mask treats dry hair and scalp while strengthening the surface with amino acids, proteins and vitamins. It’s enriched with avocado oil, a healthy fat to moisturise and strengthen the hair, along with a silicone-free technology that works to infuse proteins and vitamins to create a soft, vibrant surface.
9. Linden Leaves Herbalist Balm Mint & Tangerine Conditioner – RRP $19.99
This deliciously smelling conditioner from Linden Leaves is formulated with nature’s aid to condition, shine and replenish hair.
It contains essential oil of balm mint to refresh and nourish and essential oil of tangerine to stimulate the scalp, smooth and add shine to your hair. It is cruelty free, sustainably crafted with zero parabens and no harsh chemical nasties and is gentle enough for the whole family!
10. HASK Greek Yoghurt Deep Conditioning Sachets – RRP $5.50 each

11. TRESemmé Botanique Smooth Remedy Conditioner – RRP$14.49 each
Just like the FUDGE set, these two come as a combo.
Introducing TRESemmé Botanique’s new variant!
After a successful launch in 2016, TRESemmé is launching a new variant in their natural based Botanique range. The Smooth Remedy variant is blended with a mix of Moroccan argan oil and keratin to lock in shine and restore smoothness.
